I like to go to a lot of clubs in SL. It's great for just idle chat, and the music's awesome most places. Unfortunately, you run into a lot of spam too. I know how to shut particles off and mute things, but it's not always easy to figure out what object (be it AO or sound device,) to mute and still hear the person wearing it.

What is the best way to mute a person's object from chat and/or sounds and still hear that person?

If I change object text to a dark color, it still puts huge gaps between people's words. I can spend 10 minutes trying to click on their clothes trying to find an attached object I can 'edit' and mute by name, but I feel...dirty...afterward.

What would you recommend?

Hi
Use chat history and mute the senders that have (object) after them.
Then you mute their attachements or objects, not them.
