Hi all - I know you are going to laugh at me for asking this, but I haven't done this in a couple of years and I just don't remember how. I can't find the answer searching the website. What key combinations do I use to divide and join land?
Thanks in advance!

Hi Anastazia Right click on your land, select Edit Terrain.... click/drag to select the plot you want to divide, then select subdivide on the drop down menu you see. To join, simply click/drag a selection square across the common border of the two plots you want to join, then hit Join on the drop down Hope that helps Inc

You open the terraforming dialog (Ctrl-5), select the part of the parcel you want to split off and then click on "Subdivide...". VoilĂ !
Don't forget to review te land settings in "About Land" after splitting. They partially reset themselves (e.g. autoreturn).

Ctrl-5 may bring up the terraforming dialog, but how do you imitate the click-to-select and drag function of the mouse? Rock

From: White Hyacinth How do we split 1/4 off a whole sim in one simple operation?? I used to whack up my draw distance, fly up high above the middle of the sim, and then drag select a 1/4 in one go. The more you do it, the easier it is. If you find that difficult to judge, divide off a 4096 square plot in the corner. From this plot you can easily select two adjacent 4096 square plots using the first as a guide to make an 'L' shape of 3 plots. Divide the fourth and final plot to complete a square of 4, and then join those 4.
