I have some land on a sim and I can't get in. I keep getting a "server full" message. Why isn't there a ration to the number of people per sq metre to avoid one area taking up all the allocation of avatars in the SIM? Or is there a way that I can get to my land?

As far as I know a sim can support 64avs at any one time (I just seem to remeber reading thatsomewere) - it would be tricky to set a ration per sqm as this could impede movment in groups or when ppl have meetings - setting some sort of priority might work though.

If you own land in a sim you should have priority over visitors, - then premium visitors have priority over nopays or something like that

It's a bit draconian though

Most sims are set to 40 avvies (the default) Private islands can be up to 100 as this is a setting the island owner can change.

Sounds like a better idea - if you're unlucky enough to have land in a sim with a really popular place then it's a real pain being locked out of your own land.

If it's a mainland sim, post its name - somebody may be able to take a look at it from one of its neighbors.

If it's full because of camping chairs, you're well within your rights to (politely) contact their owner and ask for some to be removed so you can get to your land. If they don't remove them, you can AR the owner and LL will come by and take a look - if they have too many campers, LL will remove some.

Are you renting the land? Is it covenant land (which is a form of rental) that you "own"? Or is it land within a mainland sim?

If it's a rental or covenant land you might try talking to your landlord. If it's mainland you might try talking to the parcel owner.

I have the same problem, where there is a club on the same sim that use too many dancing and camping pads. I IM'd the owner requesting that they lessen them... but got no response and no change to the pads. I AR'd the pads a couple of weeks ago... no Linden response yet either.

You might just have to live with it. People that set up excessive camping pads are selfish and it sucks.

If it is due to camping chairs and you cannot reason with the owner, get to know your neighbors in the sim. If several of you AR at the same time about the same issue, it will draw more attention from the Lindens.

Also from what I have read traffic is going away. Depending on what it is replaced with (if it is replaced), alot of places will not have a reason to shell out the bucks for campers and a good chunk of camping will come to an end.

I do wish you a great deal of luck. I have had to deal with that before too and "It Sucks!" doesn't even come close to describing it.

A landowner should NEVER be denied access to their own property. Even if the most recent non resident needs to be booted to make room, or..something.

Too bad LL doesn't see it that way, and act accordingly. I see the removal of traffic as a tep in the right direction to correcting this sort of issue. I also forsee a lot of people possibly leaving SL, since LL will be remving their main form of income in game. Granted, after traffic is removed, I don't see the camping chairs going away immediately, as some people may not be in game enough to go and remove their chairs/pads, or they might not realize right away that they're now paying people for nothing useful.

it also depends on what if anything they replace traffic with. but I do think traffic going bye bye will put a big dent in camping. There will be a few folk who have chairs for reasons other than camping. Long ago I did have a few as a thank you to customers who came and played tringo with us. Then I figured out how bad they lagged and that the customers were zombies not playing or not putting in the pot and got rid of the chairs. But that was probably the first week those chairs ever existed in world.

Really I had problems accessing my own land a year before camping came into existance. 1 popular club is all it took. But who knows Age verification might well cut back on the club scene as well. Interesting times in SL that is for certain.
