.

I am unable to launch SL today. When I try I get an error message that my video drivers are out of date. This is the first time I have ever seen this. I logged in yesterday with 1.14 with no problems. I am using an Nvidia 7800GT. Anyone else getting this?

Are there newer drivers available?

I'm having graphics/drivers issues as well. I can log in but I can't do much of anything else besides sit in one spot and text or build. Any movement whatsoever... like walking down the street of my sim, dancing at a club, or going to any shop that has heavy lag, causes my entire PC to freeze up. I have to shut it down completely and reboot.

Some of those times, I get the blue screen message when I log back in saying that my Nvidia 6800 card had a problem and was stuck in an infinite loop and if this was a reoccurring problem to check my drivers.

Well, it wasn't reoccuring until last night. It only got progressively worse the longer I was on... by the end of the evening, I was rebooting my PC every 5 minutes. This PC is barely a year old. As I said, I'm using the Nvidia 6800 and WINXP. I checked my drivers and got the message that my driver was fine.

Other issues I've noticed that weren't a problem for me until last night are:

Textures are occasionally blurring in and out more than usual. Clothing that WAS fully rezzed but then starts fading in and out while staying in the same location (not after a TP).

I have items in my home that are rezzed but invisible to me unless I view them from the side, and textures in my yard, like flowers that keep flashing or showing on the inside walls if you're standing at a certain angle.

Might I add that these are items that were normal before last night.

This minor crap I could live with if I had to, but I need to be able to move about for SL to be enjoyable to me.

I don't usually have as many problems with SL as some people do, but since last night, I'm getting angry and frustrated. I came to SL to avoid that kind of RL crap.

Dementia, I had a similar problem with my Alienware computer last year. I thought all my drivers were up to date, but it turned out they weren't.

When this happened, I posted a "I keep freezing, then crashing" thing, then described exactly what was happening. Pretty soon, I had someone from LL post a "Your drivers are out of date. Here's where you go to check" post.

That'd be my best advice, I guess.

If y'know where to get the most up to date drivers, check there. (Mine was at the Alienware site, itself. The card manufacturer's site had way out of date files, so you may want to check the computer maker, rather than the card maker.)

I'm not very technical, but I hope this helps.

After several deep breathes and downloading the 1.13.3.2 client version, I'm calm now :)

I've been at a club for 40 minutes now without crashing. I will definitely look into upgrading drivers after I log out tonight. Thx for your help and encouraging words :)
