Hi,
I was casually minding my own business, clearing out my inventory, when someone targeted me with Eye of Horus. I keep now getting an explosion around me, and I can't stop it.
Can anyone, first of all, tell me how I can stop it and secondly, what is the best defence against it?
Thanks

Often these griefer things are set to track a specific avatar - and will follow you around.
However, if you log out and back in to a different location, it won't be able to find you. Teleporting to a different area is the same thing.
I don't know what this thing does or how it works - but this is worth a try.

Go to an area owned by a friend of yours, and get them to read the object owners on their land while you're there. The owner of the "Eye of Horus" will show up in the list, and
1. Your friend can delete or return the object to the owner, and 2. You can then issue an abuse report against them.

Problem solved in-world... it was some kind of attachment thing, when he removed all attachments and then just put the robo suit back on, all was well. I'll send an invoice at the end of the month Lewis

Thanks If you are in a combat or non-safe land, go buy a Psitec/Protec and/or a Widow and you can blow the Eye of Horus and all of its attacks into astro-space. If you are in safe land.... well a Widow will do the same thing there but its safe land <.< The best defense is a Protec Shield COMBIND with a Sion-Sheild. Yes yes sion sucks its like the Mac, but the mac and Windows working together can create a pretty powerful computer (anology). If you want even more protection combind that combo with a Power-Shield and Bergman (yeah yeah yeah) Shield. Doing this, nothing could get through my defense except a Black Widow and the ocassional Psitec II. If you are completely helpless, just use the protec and sit on that non-phys ball of theirs. Don't flame me because I know my weapons And I really do... know my weapons (no I don't grief).

On the other hand, actually, nobody needs to spend a penny on any of this nonsense unless they want to avoid being killed in a combat zone (and how likely is that?)
If you are being followed by a persistent effect, teleport away. It will go. It is in practice impossible for a scripted object to follow you across teleports across the grid. Don't believe any of the rubbish that is advertised saying "it will track targets down no matter where they are" - lies, pure and simple.
If it doesn't go, you've put on some sort of attachment which is affecting you. Take off all your attachments, and learn the lesson not to put on attachments with such effects ever again.
And yes, I know my weapons, I script them.
