1) WSE was the victim of theft, they did not do the thieving.

2) What corruption? What specifically are you talking about? Any proof?

3) LL doesn't even get involved in in-world disputes. They have no jurisdiction over the WSE.

In other words, no.

Maybe we should start a poll about banning you, since you seem to be so eager to create threads calling for the banning of things... This is what, the second in 3 days?

if this is just the 2nd in 3 days, then i`m running behind with 20 or so threads compared to the rest...

all this polling will get nothing done, only a fraction of the userbase reading it and a fraction of those that will vote

don`t want anyone to get banned except of griefers and wishfully scammers, but this topic has been beaten to death

better put some effort into that ginko drama with "Savings deposits: L$170,405,408" + god knows how much from stocks compared to a "lousy" L$3.1m

if u want to lobby against stock exchanges or any other sort of financial service as they all will have an issue at a time, go to LL and ban L$ sales, or do it ur self

LL should only ban WSE if they decide on policy to remove all these unregulated investment schemes.

If they do so then yes WSE, ginko and the rest should all go.

I can definitely see that as a possible ban.

Please don't advocate that until my friends get their money out.

There are no grounds as yet to Ban WSE.
They made a foolish error, in trusting the wrong person, and didn't get any assurances before Making their Monitary balance Vulnerable to him, But being a Fool isn't a bannable offence.
Your whole Question is based upon a false premis, so the Only rational answer can be No.

Angel.

Im not advocating anything.

Im saying I can see the Lindens banning all these quasi-legal (and less) investment schemes that involve their virtual currency.

I dont see Lindens actively pursuing investment fraud or mismanged funds claims for long, nor do I see them instituting financial regulations on funds.

So they will either choose to ignore them and allow any scheme not proven to be an obvious hit you over the head scam.

Or they will simply ban all these funds and tell you if you want to do online investing to do it with something other than Linden Dollars.

Me saying that has nothing to do with your friends or my friends money, its just my observation on likely outcomes of the situation that seems to be occuring.

And Mari could be right.

The amounts someone has in a Ginko or a WSE are just numbers on a spreadsheet.

Its simply not guaranteed they will honor them.

And if the amounts of all the spread sheet exceed the assets of the fund .. then as Mari said the "money is already gone"
