Question about donating tier

I've donated tier before to a group that had Mainland land, but is it possible to donate tier to a private island?

Just trying to help someone out...

I'm pretty sure you can't directly donate tier to a private Island. It's a set monthy fee that the owner is solely responsible for paying. As I'm sure you know, you can however donate $$ so they can pay their tier.

Exactly right. Private islands do not actually have tier, they have a "monthly maintenance fee". People here often call that tier because from our end they are both money paid monthly to LL for keeping your land, but LL does not consider the two interchangeable.

That's what I was afraid of. I'm already paying rent there, but had hoped I could help out with something that I already had.
