How difficult would this be?.....

Hello,
I would like to buy a small piece of land (512m2), and like simple living. A small house with a few pieces of furniture is plenty good for me, however, I would also like to have the option of maybe a pool party (with a pool, bar, outdoor furniture etc) on the same property. Since the prim allowance is pretty limited on a 512m2, it would be very tough for me to have my house and furnishings on the land along with the other items at the same time (not to mention the fact that I don't want a ton of stuff on my property all at once - and it probably wouldn't all fit). So, on to my question....
How difficult is it to 'remove' or 'put away' my house (and furnishings), and put up the pool party items for an evening or two, just to have to turn around and reverse it all again? I know my items stay in my inventory, but have no idea how much work it takes to get a house and furnishings all together the way you like them - and then, can you save them as they are? Or do they just individually go back into inventory so I'd have to start at the beginning again?
Thanks again for helping this newbie out!

You can Take the items, and you will have to place them individually. Unless....there is a lock feature in the Edit menu, thay locks items in place. If you lockd everything, you my be able to take it as one . I've never tried it, but maybe I will tonight. At the very least, make sure all the house parts are locked together if you take it or else the parts will have to be reassembled when you want the house back.

If you select everything (either click-drag a selection box or hold Shift while clicking) and Take at once, it will go into your inventory like one object and will all be in the same relative positions when placed back out. However, make sure to have the Edit window open when you place them, so that they are automatically selected and you can move them as a group back into position.

It shouldn't be a problem at all. Most (if not all) houses that fit onto a 512 plot can be one object and should be able to be picked up easily.

And yes, you can save all your stuff as you have it set up. Open up an edit box (click the build button)

Drag a box over all of your stuff and you should see all of the pieces that you own highlighted. ( you may wantto move your camera view to be looking straight down on your house)
While highlighted, right click and select take.

all of the stuff should be pulled into your inventory as one temporary object. (keep in mind, the name of the object may not be what you expect it to be....it may take the name of one of the objects in your bundle of stuff)

Now when you want to set it back out, you need to do sort of the same process. Open up an edit box and then pull your object out of inventory and set it on the ground.
BUT
Before closing the edit box, you can move and rotate the object as you wish with the edit arows.
once you have it the way you want, close the edit box and your done.

Sounds kinda complicated but once you do it you'll see how easy it is.
