I only got 500 lindens for the person I referred the site says 2000 GRRrr not happy...

Why did this change on me, and why did SL not point out the change from 2000 to 500. Why is the site not updated with this information.

I am not angry that I did not get 2000, I mean... meh its just 2000... I am angry that the information was not put forward that I would only get 500...

Or is this 500 just a first of four payments?

Anyone with any information on why LL only gave me a 500L payment - much appreciated.

On another note - WHERE IS MY 1250 BONUS FOR BECOMING A MEMBER ................. *angry face here* that should have been paid hours ago.

I guess the rest of your Lindens are with that First Land program that was advertised long after it was "officially discontinued."

Some people might call this false advertising. Again.

I have had a ticket in on this for 3 weeks, with no response.

This is a straightforward contract. You give them quid, they give you quo. You give them something of value, a referral - they give you something of value in return, 2000L It's a contract because they offer it on their website. They can't give you back the referral, so they have to pay.

I expect to get paid eventually. When they finish fixing all the bigger problems they have right now.

After months of referring people I finally got a payment, and like Triden it was only L$500 even though it's clearly published on the SL website that we're supposed to get a L$2000 lump-sum for referring a person. Last time I queried missing referrals (week or so ago) LL told me "the referred person has to lodge the complaint not the referrer" which is beyond stupid because how can all my referrals know I've not been paid to complain about it? and how can I know they put my name in correctly? what about all the people that have clicked my referral link in my sig on forums who I have no idea about and can't IM to question? it's a complete farce. It seems very obvious LL are simply screwing us all over... again.

I'm taking the L$500 payment as an insult. It's now clear to me that they can and do check referrals and pay them when they feel like it, and now are even underpaying them and yet the referrals from months ago I know for a fact I am due have just "vanished". Why don't they just drive round to my house and spit in my face? LL's moral compass is clearly demagnetized.

Why do LL seem to go to so much trouble to anger and insult their most loyal of supporters? (<breath> don't put down to malice that which can be best explained by incompetence </breath>

. I have already given up referring people an instead I convince people not to bother trying SL and wasting their time, energy and money on such a shoddy and frustrating service and if I can't convince them not try it I convince them to never ever give any money towards it instead.

I too have a ticket open, since I am yet to receive referral payments, which they have still not dealt with, although more recent tickets have been....

It's funny how they never forget payments due from us though...

Keep opening tickets. Also, might I suggest opening a public JIRA ticket and those affected VOTE ON IT. Also, calling Billings during their business hours and see what they have to say.

inwhich someone else pointed to some tidbit in a blog entry that you cant find

but yet they never updated the website

and it appears they STILL HAVENT

According to the Knowledge Base, you don't get any of the referral bonus until 31-36 days after the person upgrades to Premium...theoretically, the beginning of their second billing period if you assume everyone pays monthly. Someone else also mentioned in a thread that they received a ticket response which indicated the 2000L is paid out over 90 days, 500L at a time.

I too have a ticket open, since I am yet to receive referral payments, which they have still not dealt with, although more recent tickets have been....
