I tried to download the restraint viewer for secondlife and it said the fmod. dll file was missing what do i do about this, how do i fix this.
Any help would be much appreciated

You have to put the settings from the restrained life viewer folder into the regular sl folder, I believe.

the text file tells you everything you need to know...
copy the restainedlife.exe into your c:\program files\secondlife folder
copy the settings.xml into your c:\program files\secondlife folder\app_settings folder
****make sure it is just the file you copy not the app_settings foler****
make a shortcut to restrainedlife.exe and voila all set

I recommend as with any extra viewers, install a new copy of SL into a second new folder with a seperate shotcut, test it before adding Restrained Life to it. That way you can still use the viewer that you know works ok as well if you have issues, Everyone really should have at least 2 versions of SL installed, that way you can always try logging in with the second viewer if one won't login.
If you don't want t try a 3rd party viewer then SL usually has at least 2 viewers available, the current standard viewer and the prototype RC viewer.

For my restraine dlife I have to go into the folder to use it. I left the shortcut alone.
