Hi, I'm a SL Siren(a type of Mer for those that don't know). and I have been looking alot for a gadget that, when I'm in the water it keeps me in it. I tried this one called [someone's] Swim Helper HUD but it does not work. I know there are more, I jsut can't find them. Any help would be VERY appreciated.
Thanks as always, Eiji Mayo

You probably want The Swimmer, which is available in several places, most notably a sim called WaterWorks.
The item is L$400, and it lets you swim like a normal person would in either sim water or his (the creator's) special prim-based water.
Though if you want zero buoyancy (sp?) when underwater, this probably isn't what you'd want, and I don't know what would be....

yah, do a search for Siggy's Waterworks. Swimmer is on your right when you go inside the main area on one of the big boards with items for sale.

The Swimmer is great for Linden water, but if you also want something to swim in prim water check out Reflect Your Dreams. They have a gizmo that lets you swim in prim water and I *think* that it acts like a chimera i.e. others can swim too if they click on it when you are wearing it.

The Swimmer 1.1 at Waterworks also has another add-on/attachment which lets you use both (though Swimmer 1.1 is required for the later to work) in SecondLife water aswell as Prim(s) water.

Ditto all the above. Siggy's Swimmer (from Waterworks) is the dog's thingies. I've seen nothing else that comes close.

You can customise the animations used in The Swimmer, so you can use it (and hence work fine in the very common PrimSwim water / pools) but keep your own choice of swim animations.

the swimmer makes your legs moves though. As a mermaid, your tail would look funny. I haven't found one that "swims" likw the swimmer suitable for a mermaid's pose.

The Swimmer comes with several different swim animations, front crawl, back stroke, breast stroke etc. and you can add your own as well.

My only complaint with the Swimmer is that you float upwards if you dive under. I wish I could just swim around and explore underwater without shooting to the top. (Unless I've missed a recent update, I got mine last year.)
