Funny that we only got the usual stipend this week  , Just wanted to say to all the people who dout that LL are working on bug's " They are " ... Well the one's that cost them money anyways  So the question , Did all your stipend's return to normal ?, Or has anyone got more or less than they normaly would ? Shame that LL can't fix some of the other bug's ( mistakes )with lightning speed

What a farce! And I thought it was not fare I 'only' get 300 just for joining a few weeks too late. This one week with 500 for everyone was a boost to the SL economy and I did not see it as a bug. I thought it was a good policy... My stipend was back at the usual 300 this week If people who sign up now will only get 100 from now on, it is becoming a farce indeed. |

I signed up at the end of March... ok so yes I am a newbie loi But from the first day I was premium and got my 300 just fine all these weeks... today I got 100! Oh well no shopping for me! I agree that the raise would of been great for the economy, but its not be so it seems... |

I got my regular 300 too.
Remember folks, SL is a living, breathing economic system. If LL floods all members with the larger stipend the value of the L$ will go down (i.e. less US$ for more L$). Although this looks good for the RL consumer at the onset, the drop in value will increase prices in SL so vendors can make their RL rental payments. This is the reason for not giving the traffic bonus anymore as well. Open up the economics books folks. I for one already feel many of the prices for land and consumables are getting too high, I don't want them getting any higher.

If you follow your theory, then I should have seen prices go down quite a bit because when I signed up the L$ was about L$320+/$1. Instead I saw prices remain the same, or go up in quite a few stores. Any excuse is a good one to raise prices, no reason is valid to lower them. Might not be in your economics book, but it's more realistic . |

Unfortunately, Kitty. The law of supply and demand is not a one sided argument. The economy will react to fluctuations in the L$. When you joined there were less than 500,000 members. Now there are over six million. Now flood the market with that many L$ and see what happens over the next six weeks. The approximate cost of L$270/US$1 has been normal exchange since September 2005. There was a fluctionation in 2006 where it spiked, when you joined and has been below 300 since I joined in November of 2006. You may not have seen a price decrease because of the volitility or because of the population growth, or a multitude of other things that cause that change supply and demand of goods and services.
