I intend to buy a waterfront piece of land which has an adjacent empty sim on the water called Linden Maintenance. The ad says the view will be undisturbed as the sim is "Linden Protected". Is there a guarantee that Linden lab is not putting this sim on an auction and I will loose my view? Anyone had some experience there?
Thanks, Violet

Nope, there are absolutely no guarantees. I've heard stories of people who've bought these "waterfront" places and have had them for some time with no issue, on the other hand I've heard stories of people who've bought them and the next day LL came along and dumped a whole new landblock sim next to them so you never know.

There's some "Linden Maintenance" land near my home plot on an old mainland sim... just been put up for auction..... along with another block the other side that was originally tagged as "first land" in 512 blocks..... but never put on sale.

If the entire waterfront edge of your sim is a straight line that abruptly ends in a cliff at the water, I would bet that LL will add land there. If, however, you have a natural (irregular) coastline and you are on the edge of a continent (i.e. you can see the coastline meandering away in both directions), I would bet that LL will not add land there. There is no guarantee, but at worst you would find yourself on one side of a waterway.
