Is there any way I can access a log of the notes I have made within the 'My Notes' Tab of other SLers? I ask because I met a resident about 2 weeks ago, have now forgotten his SL name, didn't offer friendship or exchange a calling card but I know I made some notes in 'My Notes'. If I could access those notes I would be able to trace his name. Any ideas please? Thanks in advance. Dalsan

That would be great though. A virtual filing cabinet of avatar records. Somebody has proposed this feature. (Hi Dalsan! )

Pending some better technical solution one might do well to copy and past the notes one makes in other's Notes tab into a notecard and or into a text file on one's local machine.

What I tend to do is put my notes about people under my own profile. This ensures that they're never to far away. So under my notes about myself I have have.."I need to contact so and so. This guy and that guy seem like trouble. Call what's-her-face back about that '76 Honda." Of course, I use actual avi names of course .

I do love the fact that you can make a note about yourself... talk about useful.

Thanks for your replies, although it seems there's no hope. Frustrating when I know I wrote some notes and they must be there somewhere, but the only way to get at them is by the name of the person.

How do we encourage Linden to make that function possible? I'd LOVE to be able to access the notes I made on people

I just had a thought. You could start your own filing system on users as far as notes. Create a new folder and name it something like "User Notes". Then, after you make notes on a person in their profile copy paste the information into a newly created notecard. Rename the notecard to the name of the user you are taking notes on. Finally, put the notecard in the User Notes folder. That could do for now I suppose; it wouldn't hurt to post a thread in the Feature Suggestions part of the forums. Can you remember where you met this person? Maybe you can find them in the sim you originally met them.

This looks like it would fit right in here. After the initial in world meetings, Jesse says they'll open up some space on the website for further discussion.. Seems reasonable to me that this idea could be incorporated within this new site. zk

You could also just list in your own profile tab the names of people whose profiles you have annotated.
