Double talk on referral bonus hocus pocus

I got paid 500L instead of the promised 2000L for a referral bonus. Note how the policy below was only adopted May 2, and about a week later, I get paid the wrong referral bonus. It then takes them 3 weeks to tell me that the information below is probably wrong.

First from the Knoweldge Base, and after that, their reply to my ticket:

Refer-A-Friend Program Changes
In our continuing effort to create value for Residents and Linden Lab alike, we have decided to make a few significant changes to our Refer-A-Friend program. After an extensive evaluation, we have determined several ways to make the program simple, effective, and less confusing for everyone. Instead of the previous system whereby referral bonuses were paid out in installments over ninety days, Residents who refer their friends will now receive a single lump sum payment of L$2000 for each friend who signs up for a Premium Account. Instead of having to wait 90 days for this bonus, it will occur at the beginning of the second billing cycle for each Premium Account holder you refer. In other words, you'll receive L$2000 from us approximately 31-35 days after your friend signs up for a Premium Account.

The other important change is that we have removed the limit to the number of accounts you can refer. Instead of only five, you can now refer as many friends as you like and still receive a bonus from us for each Premium Account holder who meets the requirements above. Our goal is to encourage long-term commitment to Second Life and reward Residents who help make this happen. For this reason, we only offer the bonus to Residents who refer Premium Account holders who then stay in Second Life for longer than one month.

Details: I was paid a 500L referral bonus on 5/13. My understanding is that this is supposed to be 2000L. transaction # is 310457447.

I submitted this by email, and by phone already and have no response for over 2 weeks now.

The Referral Bonus for you will be paid out over 90 days. You will be seeing the remaining Lindens credited to your account.

I reopened that ticket, and pasted them their own information, and I'll be hog-tied but they paid me. There it was in my account, a special Linden Grant, for 1500.

I'm choking on the irony, but I'm very glad that you got your full amount as promised!

(Psstt, LL, if you want to encourage long-term commitments, maybe looking at the customer service portal might be a good idea. Users shouldn't have to quote you your own knowledge base!)
