I'm new to the Business side of SL. I find myself with staff, casino earning and items sales. How do I keep records of all these? Staff comissions are handled by tip jars etc. but I need to know what is coming in and from what source etc. I totally do not know what I'm doing in this area or where to start looking - fish out of water -- up the creek without a paddle! Try IMingenuity Zimbit Vidor in world, he has started a new business call SL Sales Tracker and I think he can help you (with the item sales and tips).

Ditto. Also pick a day each month to download your transaction history. It only goes back 30 days so if you ike to keep records as I do, you'll be glad you saved the Excel files to thumb through when you need them.

I pull mine down every day, overlapping days as excel files, then into an Access database.

From: Ace Albion I pull mine down every day, overlapping days as excel files, then into an Access database. Exactly the same as Ace, I now have a database going back nearly 2 years and have created numourous reports to give me useful statistics on my business, i.e. weekly, monthly quarterly revenue breakdown along with reports that tell me what is selling well/badly, the averige amount a customer spends, % of sales generated by external sites..and lots of information that is just interesting to read to give you a fuller picture of the business. This is all low maintence and requires only a few minutes each day to import data once its set up.

I use Zimbit Vidors Sl Sales Tracker, I find it very useful for knowing your most popular items and tracking sales ect. Heres the link if you want to look at the site. Personally I love it! Works with Jevn 3.6 and also the Linden prims set to sell. http://slsalestracker.com/
