Linden sandboxes now return your objects if they've been present for 5 hours or more.
What should Linden Lab do with the autoreturn time?
Remember, this question is for one million errr... somethings or other.

I think 5 hours is a reasonable amount of time. Yet, it could be a few more hours or at a specific time of day in case someone is working on something intense and complicated. I thought they changed the sandbox policy so that items are deleted instead of autoreturned after a certain period of time. Is that true??

It's fine. 5 hours is plenty of time to work on a build in one day. Spending more than that isn't healthy anyway. And if you really spend more time than than that without backing up to your inventory, you're a special kind of crazy to be doing that in the griefer haven that is the public linden sandboxes.
