When I fly above the land I own (Huntsbore 99, 161) I am running into a verticle flight slowdown and apparent limit around cloud level. Therefore I'm unable to use my sky platform at the higher altitude where I want it. BUT I see that some of my neighbours have objects in the sky much higher than my "fly limit". I can raise my platform higher, but I can't fly up to it. I know that the land about two parcels from mine (along the beach front) has a building much higher in the air than my platform.
What's wrong, and what can I do to fly higher?
Thank you!

What height can you get to? You may need a flight assist, such as a flight feather or flight band. Without one you can´t fly higher than about 300 metres (I think that´s he limit anyway).

Just two nights ago I carefully copied my flight feather to all outfits since changing outfits detach all attachments. I forget where I got mine from but being a freebie, it should show up in search unless someone is in-world before I get there in just over three hours.

Normal flight doesn't take you very high. If you disable 'chat' on your screen and press the 'e' key it will take you higher - I think 250 m, I can't remember. The 'c' key brings you down lower again. To fly higher, you need a scripted jetpack or similar wearable flight device. I have a Skee jetpack, but it's not copyable, otherwise I'd give you one. But I think they are free and you just need to hunt around freebies. Another way to get up to your platform is to rez a simple cube on the ground directly under your platform, sit on it, go into 'build', 'edit', 'more' and then set the Z co-ordinate (altitude) at a height you know to be a bit above the height of your platform. You should then find yourself sitting on the cube in mid-air somewhere above the platform. Stand up and you will fall onto your platform, hopefully. Then you can find and delete the cube as it is of no further use. Once on your platform you can set a landmark there, and whenever you want to go there again all you need to do is find the landmark in your inventory and teleport. Incidentally, 768 metres is the current maximum height for building stuff although you can apparrently fly to infinite altitude!

There's free flight assist gear near the entrance to the Greenies sim - jet boots, and a jet backpack.

The free box of "Useful Stuff" on the vendor wall at my store in Shona includes a couple flight assist devices.

I just gave Flieger the flight feather. Flieger, it's a small HUD... just wear it and you can fly as high as you like.

These days that shouldn't happen, unless your doing something strange. Just select "add to current" or "remove from current" ( or something like that ) and you'll wear/not wear the items (only) in that folder. Other stuff will remain worns as is unless the folder contains something that is on a dupicate attachment point.
