showing ourselves offine in world is the best thing yet why cant we......?

1. show ourselves offlines in groups and in any other way that it shows us online?
what good is showing our selves offline to someone and yet they can go to etiher the web site or groups and see us online. ?
when we are seen offline to someone it should automatically shows us offlne in group(s), at the sl web site here, and anywhere else we are shown to be onlin

Groups -improved features
1. to have the abilty to show ourselvse offline in groups
2. mute groups - so many groups people get on and just spam up ones screen with chit chat.
2. make it so we can turn off notices. so many people think they have to be constantly putting notices out. that is one big window up in the right hand corner that gets in the way of buidling for one, flying arond and looking for two, and just plane annoying. so would be great to be able to turn the notices off. if we wish for a notice we can go to group and see what is happening on our own.

I agree with the online status thing…but as we all know…there is no privacy in SL :-p
As far as Group Notices and IMs…that “Such and Such has left the session” bug seems to be fixed now…that was driving me nuts. But, I see Group IMs as kind a like the Forums for that group, a place where people can go with questions or help. I for the life of me haven’t quite figured out why people join so many groups other then maybe for some nifty tag above their head. If people aren’t interested in knowing what’s going on within the group they joined or they can’t click the little OK thiny for the Notices then they should Leave that group.

We have that already, although LL did break that feature so that it won't consistantly work anymore many weeks ago, but it's there.

In the group window just uncheck "Receive group notices".

Hopefully folks will only turn notices off on those groups who abuse the system. For my estate group my notices are rare and only sent when I absolutely want to make certain everyone gets the message. Personally, I'd never go check groups just to see if any notices came out so I'd never check that to 'off'.

As for the chatter... yeah, I have to carefully weight the usefulness of any group vs the amount of chatter. I can think of several I joined only to leave because the signal to noise ratio was so low.

For some groups, you want the group notices, but don't want the chat, others they overdo the notices, and have no chat. We could however do with a teleport to group land option or group picks perhaps, it's a pain people keep entering chat to ask for a teleport, because you have to go through 5 members picks to find the group land. Especially because we only have 10 picks but can have 20 something groups.
