Hello,
I have a 4096 sm piece of property and I would like to know how does one go about getting a tele hub on the property. I would like to set up an area to help the noobies coming into SL the way that the Memory Bazzaar did for me when i first started.
Is this an option? Do land owners get any say in this or does Linden Labs and the Govenor make these decisions?
Just curious : )

Telehubs no longer exist on the mainland, as point-to-point teleporting was implemented a few months ago. Many of the former telehubs have been converted into Infohubs.

Just curious : ) A "Telehub" refers to the old SL transportation system where you couldn't teleport to wherever you wanted, but instead had to go to the nearest "telehub" and fly from there. As mentioned above, those no longer exist. However from what you are describing above it sounds like you are actually interested in building is not a "telehub" but what's called an "infohub" or "Welcome Area" - that is, an area which new people arriving in SL for the first time can be dropped into. The current Infohubs were either nominated by Linden Labs from existing builds or built as part of an initiative a few months back, and I'm not aware of a standard procedure for creating new ones - but that said, anyone who wants to help new people should not be put off doing so by the lack of any "official" stuff and LL are generally very receptive to people who do want to help. So probably your best bet is to build an area that's helpful to new people and provides them information, try to make it popular with new folks, and then ask if it can be made into an Infohub. Technically at an 'official' infohub you need an R5 Infonet Terminal and a free advertising kiosk (and possibly a hippo ) but there's probably no need to worry about those to start with - focus instead on building your own things to help new folks out. You also might want to talk with the owners of other newbie help places to get ideas. Bear in mind that it will need to be in a fairly low lag area and it should not be oriented towards any particular business, yours nor anyone else's. And of course camping chairs or anything similar are a no-no
