I would like to thank Customer Support for NOT picking up the phone or replying to my messages. That was the best Customer Support I have ever had from a company that I pay a monthly fee to for service. You are THE BEST!!!!

I have finally got the issue resolved thanks to a good friend at the local computer store. That was a free call with no waiting time!!

OK.. let me get all this SL S**T straight... I pay for a premium account that i get 300L a week, and no tier fees for 512m of land....no more first land... no customer service.. poor management.. a database that is freebasing all the time... and free accounts running around with more benefits than the premium accounts...

DAMN I LOVE SL.. Let me bend over a little more for ya ;-)

have you ever worked customer service for a company with a few million users?
did you bother to read the blog where they said there were issues with the phone in support system?
lindens are not able to monitor the forums all day there is to much going thru the forums at a rapid and constant pace

many times...rebooting your computer works or in come cases rebooting modem and routers work or even just giving things a lil bit of time

i have played many many online games that i have paid for and instant customer service is almost impossible no matter how hard companies try

sometimes it helps to just take a deep breath and calm down a bit

Well i am supposed to do some building on my isle i pay Linden Labs monthly and really would like to work on it because people pay me for using it, wich in turn pays the isle to linden labs...

Now i am sitting here prime time again and read the forums, third day in row and i dont have that many free evening...

You get the picture?

Linden Labs advertises that they offer a platform and they take RL money for the use of said platform, and they take money of me no matter if i can use it or not, and it doesent matter if the people wich pay to me can use it or not.

Guess what, the people wich pay me stop doing so if they cant use what they pay for, but i loose the 1ooo dollar i paid for said isle if i draw out.

So does downtime or "minor problems" annoy me?

quite a lot because i loose money each time Linden Labs cant keep the grid running, its not like wow where you pay a few bucks.

If they do it for longer though i pull out and play a free account, then i am really relaxed when the grid is down, and as more people do so as less Linden Labs earns..

we all lose money one way or another when the game is down..but as you all can see the game is up for 25k+ users right now...there can be issues with the sim you are in...there can occasionally be issues with your account/character but i guess im lucky i just dont see the problems everyone else seems to think is so catastrophic

i still build and make things and put them up on my vendors
i can still go from sim to sim and very rarely see issues unless its a laggy sim
i can still log in and host and dj without issues 95% of the time
my computer is not all that spectacular ..granted i did build it to play games on that was 2 years ago and the only upgrade ive made is a bigger hd

i know sl is having alot of growing pains right now but thinking you can get a instant help is just an impossible thought...there are to many players and as LL has stated they are hiring more and doing their best to get response for help better

there are tons of things you can check and redo to make sl alot less laggy

Oh ok. Whew! Since there are others logged in we shouldn't worry about losing money.

I'll be sure to remember that after the logins hit 20k or so to expect to lose sales. That is one hell of a business plan.

no but what you need to realize djquad is this is a game...its on the internet....there are tons of users on all the time...it is going to have some problems...but people come in here whinin and throwin tantrums like 2 yr olds over every little hiccup swearing it must only be them and not bothering to look at the blog or anywhere else to see if maybe there is an issue..it gets old seeing it when it would have taken a few extra minutes for the OP to have looked to see what might be going on

others have also stated there are tons and tons of times stuff is blamed on LL when alot of the time it is not their fault

if you dont like the way internet business can be then dont invest in it
