Help with "flashy/go to black" screen

I am having an on-going, very-very-very frustrating problem. When I go to poker sites, and it seems that the problem is exacerbated only here, my screen flashes most annoyingly, goes black, flashy-flashy-flashy, comes back, zooms in and out, then inevitably crashes. Repeated logons do not help, clearing cache does not help.

The Hud also shows incorrect card suits (which is problematic playing poker, you see) and the community cards are many times merely background textures, etc. Following the game in chat history has been my only saving grace, but that to is distracting and not practical.

I have also found that if I use the camera much at all, the problem gets worse, but not necessarily.

I've reported this, but, ah well - no response as of yet...was hoping someone had a remedy here, or could point my nose in the right direction.

I just find it unusual that this problem occurs almost exclusively while sitting at a poker table. Also, doesn't matter the site, could be a packed casino, could be a heads up game in an otherwise empty site. And because I am still relatively new at this, not sure what problem could be. Quite odd.

Meg, if you are using an older version of the First Look client, there is an update that addresses problems with HUD attachments. This might help you.

I am not using First Look, as far as I know...told you.. kinda stupid when it comes to this. I know I have it as I did try it one evening and for some reason, I went back to the original client I first downloaded.

I will though, tonite, and update. Tho, from what I read, it doesn't seem that the update will address the problem. But, definitely worth a shot!
