Now, this was something that happend to me yesterday. I zoomed closer to see what my guy friend was wearing and low and behold my view watched his every move. Is this something that I can control or did he somehow have my view attach to him?

Love and Tartan Plaid,
Jez

This has happened to me too. Quite creepy, given that i only zoomed in on someone to take a closer look at her dress and then found my view following her around outside. Only went away when i moved. i think there is a way you can force it to happen, but don't know how.

Here's how it works. . .

Put your pointer over your vict. . .err. . .target. Then just Alt click (That is, hold down alt on the keyboard while clicking the left mouse button.) Now your point of view is locked to that avatar. you will follow them where ever you move. If you use camera controls to pan or rotate, they will stay at the center of your field of view. Your camera will even folow them if they teleport within the sim.

When you alt-click on an avatar, your camera follows that avatar arround until something happens to change that state. Hitting the escape key, possibly twice if you're focused on the chat box, returns you to normal mode, as will clicking on something else.

and you can use the client menu to disable camera constraints, giving yourself even more range to do this....

ALT + L mouse button will allow you to follow any AV or moving object. Be aware though that it is possible for me to see when someones camera is looking at me and following me so you may think you are being sly by spying on someone but they have the tools to catch you out!

Works with prims too btw :).

The last time I was at an event, the entire floor consisted of rotating prims which was quite annoying :p.

Not just annoying, but potentially dizzying. I make that mistake on a semi-regular basis, because I can't resist trying to see how someone accomplished something!

focusing on rotating (and mostly-transparent so you never see that you're focusing on one) spotlights at a club has this effect. kinda trippy, usually!

How do I notice? Automatically?
