From: Official SL Blog Post ...other broadly offensive content... [is] never allowed or tolerated within Second Life. Ya know, it's time we narrowly defined what is broadly offensive within Second Life. I'll start. And anyone I see offending me this weekend with anything on my list is so gonna get AR'ed. If I'm off base with these, could someone please enlighten me on what really is "broadly offensive?" Broadly Offensive Content Within Second Life, as randomly decided upon by yours truly: 16 meter plots used for griefing. A new update every week All things bling Being charged a fee to cash in my Lindens Blog comments capped at 100 Discovering my prim hair has attached itself to my ass Electric Sheep Lag Land flippers Landbots Linden Lab apologists Newb men using their AVs to bump into women’s AVs (If anything comes remotely close to rape in SL, this is it.) Searchbot Second Life’s Official Blog That irritating sound sample: “WOOOOOOO!” That scary pasty-faced sword master often seen on SL’s homepage The low SL wages for designers, writers, photographers, builders and other artists compared to land flipper wages The new sun Viewing prim hair accidentally attached to someone else's ass Yard Sales filled with the same old crap and not one SexGen bed Using the word “broad”

From: someone Using the word “broad” Hey. In my neighborhood "Broad" was a term of endearment. Otherwise I pretty much am on board with Rocky.

Actually, I think we all should do that. Send an AR for anything that fits your own personal definition of "broadly offensive" so that LL is swamped in them. This might get them to actually take a stance instead of trying to be PC and everyone's friend...which by the constant complaining on the forums is obviously not working.
I like LL as a whole but this thing is a little silly and needs to be addressed on a large scale.
June 4th is AR the Broadly Offensive Day!

"What exactly is the definition of "broadly offensive content?" Well, it states clearly and plainly in the TOS that ... oh wait, that has been struck down as being "Unconscionable!" http://www.secondlifeherald.com/slh/2007/05/unconscionable_.html Ok, I'll play your silly game, What is the definition of "broadly offensive content?"

Broadly Offensive on my list

Being ruthed, and (worse) seeing my Master ruthed. It entirely takes away his authority and makes me giggle. Shoe Buggery Crashing on TP The wearing of guns in SL homes, clubs and peaceful places The inability to differentiate between fantasy play and real abuse Prejudice by its real definition Censorship

From: Brenda Connolly That's surprisingly , not a bad idea. Thanks for that The only thing I can think of that would get in the way of this would be LL deciding people were "abusing" the AR system...which is why we'd need a ton of people to do it at once. I don't want my land and $L confiscated! I'm not an ambulance chaser so I can't afford to sue! I just wish the PR Lindens actually played SL from time to time to actually understand what it is they're starting with blogs like that. There are several key people that make decisions about things they only have a vague understanding about.

Broadly offensive means anything that the media latch onto or as some of us have seen over at Livejournal, that some people make a noise about. That's about as clear a definition as you'll get until you're banned for stocking Gothic Lolita clothing.

From: Imogen Saltair ... Shoe Buggery... I just DON'T KNOW WHY no one has made really funny and/or broadly offensive shoe shapes for just such an occurence. Person A: I find your footwear disturbing. Can I borrow them? I'm feeling lonely and just want to teleport around.
