Hi Everyone,

I've been reading up on groups and land, as a friend and I have been looking to start a small enterprise.

I own a 512m parcel of land, and she owns one as well. Neither of us currently pays any additional tier fees.

If we were to set up a group, and we each deed our land, would the group be charged any tier fees (for holding 1024m)?

Also, we are planning on relocating them both into the same sim so we could take advantage of all the prims together. Will that still work with a group?

Thanks in advance for the help!

The group doesn't pay the tier. Tier is paid by those who donate the land. So the fees the two of you pay remain the same, unless one of you buys more land after donating land to the group. Tha 512 M2 each that you both donate still counts as 512 M2 that you own, for calculating your land tier.

One of you would need to sell the 512 M2 parcel in one sim and purchase a 512 M2 parcel in the sim the other person has their land in, if you want the two parcels to share prim count. They do not need to be close to each other to share prim count, just in the same sim with each other.

Thank you Ceera!

That's exactly what I was hoping someone would say!

In addition, group land gets a ten percent bonus, meaning that your 1024 donated to the group turns into 1106 meters that can be owned by the group at no cost to either of you.

And also keep this is mind. Unless things have changed since we made our landholding group, you need 3 members to keep the group active. So unless you trust another AV one of you will need to use an alt.

It's just two members now for a stable group. They changed that in July or so of this year.
