I rent one space but cant build, help needed

I rent one store in a mall but cant build because i dont join the group, but in this case i cant find how to know the name of the goup and how to join it.

Can anybody explain me what im supposud to do please?

I already rent 2 other ones without having problem, because i rightclick on the land and follow the land owner and join his group, but in this case i dont see the 'join' button available.

Im pretty new and im sure im missing something.

Some groups need an invitation first.

IM the land owner and ask them to invite you to the group, or the people whos names are BOLD in the group.

But how to know whic group? They have in their profile several groups.

Is there any common way to resolve this that i am missing? Maybe because im newbie i am not doing something that im expected to do.

you should be able to choose right click and choose edit on something like a wall in your store and see which group it's set to. More than likely that is the group you have to join.

Ive done that i 2 stores i just rent today without any success. I mean, in both cases i saw the owner and creator of the wals, etc. They are memebers of several groups.
The groups that seams to be related to the stores i rent, dont show the join button, just in other groups they are members but that looks to be not related.

What make me feel that im missing something was that in one of that stores the rentbox says: jus join the group to build and then leave if possible.

I mean: they suppouse that i people know how to do that.. but i can't

alot of malls you have to IM the owner and ask for an invite to the group not all malls just set to open invite so im them and say hello i rented a space at your mall "title of mall" date...time...can i please have an invite so i can set items out

then they will send you the invite

If you can't get the group name from the objects, go to world/about land and see who the owner is. More often than not, it will be listed.. if not, then IM the owner of the land to find out how to join the group needed.

The times I've joined a mall, the owner usually IM'd me no less than an hour afterwards, but given the fact that it's the weekend, I'd not expect a response until Monday PST.

Ask one of the other tenants.

IM the owner of the box you paid. Tell them where you rented. They should know where it is and will invite you into the appropriate group. They probably already know anyway, and you need to chill out. People actually work, sleep, and spend time away from SL. A few hours isn't going to hurt you, but if it goes a full day, you should ask for a full day's credit.

The ABout Land will show you the name of the Group that owns the land in the General tab. Listed under the name of the owner of the land.

Off subject, but I just have to ask what a newbie would be selling in 3 stores?

Wild guess: Animations? (check OP's name)

walk to the shop next door, right click an item for sale, see which group its set for.
then look at the group profile and im the owner.

or

touch the rental box. usually they will either chat info or offer an informational notacard.

or

give us an lm so we can see the place and help better.

Hmmm, I would be wary of someone who offers shops for rent and doesn't give enough inf0 to allow the tenant to do his stuff.

Unless the info are there and the OP missed them!
