I want to create a group mainly for the purpose of holding land that can be used by the members of the group.

Once I set up the group, I guess I have to collect the members and then do something called "land contribution." How do I do that?

And if I want to prevent paying tier, then am I right in thinking that the group can hold up to 512 sq m X number of members X 1.10? Is that right?

And when I comes time to actually buying the land, do I buy it and then somehow "give" it to the group or is there a way for the "group" to buy land directly?

1. In the Land and L tab, you type in a number as to how much you are contributing.

2. You are correct. So that no one pays any tier, all contributing members must be premium and donate 512m2.

You can then purchase 10% more land on top of that amount. So, if you have 3 people contributing 512 m2, you will have a total of 1536m2 of contribution and can purchase up to an additional 154m2 more land. Good luck finding a contiguous parcel that size, maybe you can buy some rescued ad farms to supplement the 1536! Mind you, to benefit from this, all the land must be in the same sim to get the additional prims.

3. The tier must be contributed first. When purchasing land, do not click "buy land" from the right click menu - open up about land and buy for group. That is the easiest way.
