Where is my land?

hi everybody,

my name is Angelo, from Italy.

I need small help, because i dont speak weel english.
I have tried to contact support but they always send me back a funny email, where there are a lots of links, but nothing simple, easy learn and clear.
I am sure there are a prebuild answer to use for generic, and unpersonal anser.

I'm a Premiun and i know that i have 512mq avaible to owned.
I have request more 512mq.

i can see on my account this situation:

Allowed holdings: 1,024 square meters
Current holdings: 0 square meters
Available for purchase: 1,024 square meters
Peak square meter usage: 0 square meters

So, i dont understand, if i have or not a land.
in case affremative where is thsi land and how i can go there.

Please, please.. help me.

You haven't actually purchased land yet, you need to find some you like and then buy it. At present you are tiered to 1024sqm, so that is the size you can buy.

Denise is right Angels. All land owners pay a cost per tier. You have requested to have 1024 sqm. This means you can own land up to 1024 sqm before you are charged a tier fee. If You go over 1024 sqm you'll be charged a montly tier fee by Linden Labs.

You still have to purchase land from an auction or a private sale. Prices can run from $5000 L$ to 100,000 L$ for a plot of land.

why price are so vary from 5000 to 100000?

and where i can look for or maybe where i can start to reach a land?

I have been on Land Store, there was a map with a lots of squared yellow flag, i have founded a land free but then pages talk about all land prices..

There must somewhere on grid a place where to go for look.

Just like everything in RL. "Location, location, location". It is cheaper on new sims, mountain sides, and areas with a lot of advertisement and lag. Those are the last places you want to be. Search around. You should be able to find some good deals in nice locations.

I would suggest you go to the new continent which is to your right on the map. The new continent has nice land and it is selling at a very good price. You can start your new life in a new world.

I dont understand why Linden change policy. In fact i have read than until end of febbruary, alluser can have land for free, and now you must pay just to have a privilege for owned a land.

Personally i think was better to give same opportunity everyone. They can give a land where build you house, maybe they ask for a small fees.. but they dont give opportunity to the jackals to operate here.

I know that it is better sell a region or a big land, but Linden do not sell small part land?

If they permitted to operate as estate,of course there are few peoples are making money, and others losing....

In this way, definetly is not a Second Life, it is just a virtual mirror of RL...!!!! with all problem, kind of life.

I feel so sorry to see users dance, or seat just for few nuts... Zoo is better...

The reason the prices vary so much is because they are hoping your dont know better or dont understand very well. Don't pay over L$10.0 per square meter. There will be many great choices for that amount or less. Do a search on Land Sales and sort by For Sale-Mainland. Dont pay more thant L$5120 for a 512 or L$10240 for a 1024.

Sorry for Samantha. You suggested me to go on Italian forum.. i have been there but i receive more help here just in 1 hour than 4 days with Italian Forum.
Also you must consider than in english language, naturally there are more peoples can help you..
Maybe somethings i misunderstand for my poor english, but more info i collect more chance i have to resolve the problem.

And for look a landa, there is somewhere better to go and see? i talking about owner, sales man, or similar... or just go there anc ask to Linden?

Angles, to see the new continent just open up your map while in SL. The new continent is the piece of land farthest to the right.

One thing you need to realize is that you aren't buying land off of Linden Labs. You are buying land from a private owner. This is a one time cost. Linden Labs will then charge you a monthly tier fee for the amount of land you own. Premium members are given 512sqm for a tier. So if you buy land that is 512sqm you will not be charged a tier fee. If you go over the 512sqm then you will be charged a montly tier fee.

your first 512 of land is free with premium you pay no more tier after that you start to pay tier unless this has changed recently this is an old policy. (I have to go look from what I read in your information it says that now we get 1024 before paying tier but I might be mistaken)

The land itself will always cost money to buy land. So if you go look for 512 sq meter plot on mainland you pay the price for the land to buy it but then afterwards to live on it its free because you paid for a premium membership. If it was changed to 1024 this may have been a "special offer" like a sale for cheap land tier (free) for a limited time because the usual offer is 512

so you are allowed to own a little bit of land without paying a monthly fee for it called tier, but unfortunately you still need to buy it first so you need to shop for a good price.

use the search and select land sales and select mainland only land dont use the all or estate or you will get strange results and this estate land is not something you can pay free tier on

To see it in-world, seach land sales-auction and teleport to one of the sims listed. They are on the new continent.
