This is less a question than a request:
In memory of Andrew Anthos, the citizens of Provincetown will be holding a vigil at the GLBT Holocaust Memorial through the night of February 24, 2007. Further information is available from the In Memorium plinths at the Memorial itself.
Please take a moment tonight to come remember that sometimes the events of the Real World impact the residents of Second Life deeply.

I am so sorry to learn of this disgusting act of intolerance on an old man; thank you for this information and I'm glad you are doing the vigil.

When senseless acts of intolerance occur, it doesn't only injure the target, it diminishes us as humans. All we can do is pull together. Please join us in Provincetown at the at the GLBT Holocaust Memorial, 124,194,29.

I dropped by for a short while, and I must say, this is what Second Life is about. Community, getting together to hash out life's issues. Brilliantly done, Kam. And the rest of you I met there. Thanks for doing that.

I'm ashamed that the human race still has such intolerance...such brutality...such cold blooded evil.
I must be buried in RL work...I hadn't heard about this tragedy until I received Kamael's message. Thanks, Kamael for organizing the vigil.

We're still here, sharing stories, remembering Andrew Anthos and other that have fallen at the hands of hatemongers but mostly we're hoping to spread a message of education, inclusion and love that will eradicate the need for additional memorial services and losses.
Please feel free to join us in Provincetown, click Andrew's picture for a notecard with more information, and stay a while. RadioRadio continues to provide appropriate music and thoughts on air as well.
Hate IS NOT an option.

Thanks to everyone who came by--we stopped counting visitors at 9:00 am SLT, at which point over 200 people had come by to pay their respects to Andrew Anthos. And special thanks to Vertigo Paris and Madame Maracas for keeping us company with great music and commentary over RadioRadio throughout the event.
Anyone who suggests that the SL community doesn't care about RL issues, doesn't know what they're talking about.

Thank you for doing this. The man you're honoring lived in my town and was something of a character. It's terrible what happened to him, but it's good that he will be remembered.
