How do I give people I have rented land to, who are in the land group the ability to eject and ban others? I have tried checking the option in the group roles section but they still don't have the ability.
Thanks in advance.

Is the land actually deeded to the land group? It has to be deeded for most group roles to operate correctly.

One warning, make sure if you do deed it to group you have either an alt or a permanent trust worthy partner in the group with you so not everyone leaves the group. If the group is disolved, you would lose the land.
Other than that make sure int he group options you are the only one with owner type powers, this includes the buy and sell land for group AND the reassign Role responsibility powers.
If you do those two things and keep those powers only to yourself - Deeding land to group is a safe and effictive way to control tennants - You can control who is allowed to set their home position, who can build objects, who can eject and ban, who can fly, etc , etc.

Basically the land owner and only the land owner can perform those operations on land. If you deed the land to the group, then the group and everybody in it gets to assume the rights of the land owner.
If you just have a normal land group, then they can only perform those operations that the ownership tab shows the 'everybody, group' checkboxes for (like creating objects, running scripts etc).
I think that is correct anyways?

That isn't correct. If land is deeded to a group, the group rights are still dictated by whatever rights that the group owner gives them. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt. In the OP's case, I would suggest deed to group (and make sure you listen to Colette's warning to make certain your group isn't disbanded), but set group rights to [1] not get divends (you don't want your renters to get a share of any money in the group account), [2] to have eject/ban rights... and probably return non-group object rights too so if some griefer leaves stuff there, they can return it, [3] make sure that ordinary group members cannot sell your land (this is defined in the roles... you and your other officer get full power and you set up a seperate roll for the renters), [4] you may or may not want to give them the option to set parcel audio/video. If you don't, they'll be pestering you to change it for them. If you do, the risk is that they can change it on some other renters parcel (a form of griefing). Now on deeding land to group, certain things like security orbs and a few other things will no longer work on group land (or not work as expected) unless the objects are also deeded to group. A good example of this is the Psyke orb. On group land, the tp home doesn't work unless the orb has been deeded to group (the eject still works fine). So your renters might need some initial help in this area. Good luck with your rental biz

Deeding land to a group turned out much easier and beneficial than I thought.
First I made sure I and my alt formed the group so that there would always be at least two members. If there is less than two, LL disbands the group.
Then I deeded the land over but contributed tier with the deed so that I still paid the tier.
Then anyone else who I added to the group had everyone status and very little abilities. BE VERY SURE TO UNCHECK FINANCIAL LIABILITIES because otherwise if the group sells the land, everyone with Financial Liabilities will get an equal share of the sale.
But you can allow everyone members to edit terrain, etc.
Hope this helps.
I haven't had to transfer land back to myself because before I sell land, I eject anyone except myself and my alt (so we get all the proceeds). Do note that its takes a day or two for group land sale proceeds to show up in your account cause its divided up.

(Shadow, Not quiet right, but close!)
What I would do, make a group with an alt or someone you 100% trust (and Im talking, REALLY trust) and then just go in and look at all of the role options within the group. What you will want to do for tenants is make a Tentant or Renter role and then go through each priviledge and asign them only the things you want them to be able to do. Things like placing items out, setting the land as Home, eject and freezing etc. Take time to look at the roles carefully before you add any of your renters to the group and giving them a role. Like mentioned above, you dont want them to be able to buy or sell land for the group (you could lose your land) and there are some others you wont want handed over in privledges. Once you are sure you have the hang of it (I would blank out all of the options inthe *everyone* role, since it is assigned automatically at times) then you can invite and inform your renters about the group.
Good luck!!
