I think one is Freebie market but not inworld at moment. Yadhnis Junkyard is a great place for bargains. Try a search on '1$' . My spelling for Yadhni might be wrong :(

There's such a place called "The Free Dove", in Gallii(115,50) - you can also find a lot of free clothes and other neat items at the "Gnubie Store" in Indigo(204,80).

There are loads of places with huge amounts of freebies. I think the Freebie Dungeon has the biggest variety, but Sarah Nerd's is perhaps best for quality.

As with most things in SL, use the search. Search under places for "freebie", and look through the list. Visit a few places, it won't cost anything much to get a load of stuff and see what you like. Then you can have hours of fun trying to sort your inventory out.

The create landmark option is in the "world" menu at the top of your screen.

In my view not a very intuitive place to put it, took me weeks to stumble across it.

Here are some of my favorite freebie places:

Sarah Nerd's Freebie Paradise, NineInchNerds (130, 117, 23)

The GNUbie Store in Indigo, Indigo (201, 62, 38)

YadNi s Junkyard - Newbie Paradi, Leda (208, 26, 53)

New Citizens Plaza -- New Citizens Incorporated, Kuula (54, 175, 29)

enkythings L$1 SHOP, Wolchulsan (178, 51, 401)

Different freebie places have different styles. Sarah Nerd's place is more like a giant boutique; a lot of the items are individually boxed, so you get some idea what's there. The GNUbie store is more like a demo shop for designers. Many of the places follow YadNi's model : lots of boxes full of huge collections of free stuff. (YadNi's is also worth seeing just or the fun wacky style of place.)
