Emerald Radar

I am trying to help a friend get their Emerald radar to "announce" when someone enters or leaves the sim. Mine seemed to be set that way already, as I don't remember making any changes. We went thru it step by step, but I think we are missing something obvious, as his still does not work. Can anyone post a link or tell me how to set it?

Hi Maia,

It's in the Preferences under the Emerald Tab. Then go to the chat tab from there. There are a couple of checkboxes for various announcements under Display radar info to chat. Check the one about leaving/entering sim or either of the others or all three.

also tho i dont know exactly what they do and dont do, just because they sound as if they might possibly be relevant, look on the radar itself, on the Options tab, and make sure the checkboxes are checked for 'Update' and 'Get avatar info'
