I just paid for a membership....
How long until the "one time" amount is shared into my account? I'm itching to buy some things!

Ok....
so can I purchase L$ before that? I couldn't today, because I guess I have exceeded my limit with paying for the membership. Do I have to wait for tomorrow? |

I'm not sure I like the restrictions on the payments.
I don't want to wait 45 days for the funds to post.... |

I've heard of a few people who got caught in the monthly billing limits when they purchased an annual premium membership, so I think you may be stuck as far as Lindex purchases until a month passes.
What you can do in the meantime is use SL Exchange to purchase lindens. They are as safe and reliable (maybe more safe and reliable) than the Lindex, and I think the exchange rate might actually be better for buyers. It does mean opening an account there, which takes a few steps inworld to activate it, but it's totally worth it. I believe they also have limits for new accounts, but when I did it I was able to buy US$100 worth of lindens right away. After you buy them, they'll be in your SL Exchange account, but you can then go inworld and withdraw the funds so you can use them in Second Life. |

You didn't need a premium account to buy lindens, you can do it anyway.
It takes some time to proccess your first purchase, as they verify things. There are limits, which are; (resident account) 10US$ First day 50US$ First 14 Days 150US$ First 30 days I think is to stop people going mad in the first month and buying everything in sight. The first day is the day of your first transaction, not the day you join. The reason you could'nt buy was either waiting on verification, or the fact that everything is broke right now and the exchange aint working. If you hit your limit it will tell you, if it just says error, its bust. |
