I have seen these vendors which temporarily rez an item for sale, such as a house, so the customer can look at it before they buy. But, I do not find them advertised anywhere! Maybe I just am not looking right or they are custom scripts. Can anyone give the information and suggestions? I would like a control that will rez the item for sale for a set time, then de-rez it.
Thank You! -- Dytska!

I have made one myself that rezzes houses. Took a lot of work and I've just added another for commercial builds. (Lampir 128,12 You could adapt a HoloVendor, I guess. Same sort of thing. Have a shot...

Dominic Webb sells one, through his shop in the Caledon Highlands and through SLExchange. It is designed specifically for prefabs. Moopf Murray's vendors also do rezzing of items, but his are better for smaller things. Just depends on what you need.

You could use Builder's Buddy, with all the prims being marked as TEMP_ON_REZ.

From: Ed Gobo You could use Builder's Buddy, with all the prims being marked as TEMP_ON_REZ. it has two problems - it's not a vendor. So the selling the build part is not handled. if you're selling a prefab - temp on rez is not ideal, your customer won't be able to interact with the building very well.

The Vendor Center has house rezzing vendors purpose made. They work only with the jack-in-the-box giant building tool so it's a little over 3k to get set up.
Mine paid for itself in a week. And the J-I-T-B rez faux type set up box is a great selling tool as well. Love it.

What, no one mentions Hiro's anymore? Am I out of date on that?
The Hiro holovendor would work for homes just as easily as it does for furniture, I would assume. Search for Hiro Pendragon (I believe is the name), go to picks or classifieds and look for his place. Best part is, this wonderful person made the whole thing FREE.
If nothing else, drop me a line and I'll give you a copy.

Those smaller scale holo-venders were no good for large, multi object builds in my experience.
I made my own from an original pair of scripts by a friend. Things like moving over 10 metres need to be taken into account. My rezzer (actually a bank of rezzing cubes) don't do anything with actual sales- they're operated by command sent from the sales boxes. A regular vendor with an extra line of code or two in it could power them just as easily. I just prefer "buy" prims.
They're kludgy, but they work, even when being hammered by people rezzing mutlipart houses like they're flicking pages in a catalogue, and I'll offer the scripts (fully open) to anyone who wants them.

I love your set up Ace. That's one of the reasons I own 6 or 7 of your builds allready =) Your offer of those scripts free is a very generous thing. In fact when the grid comes back up I think I'll go buy another house just because of it. Plus your builds are Mega tight. I would like a copy of those scripts too. I think they would work great at my new Space Station sim of Valqui Hyperport. I think that system would rock for displaying the liveable starships available to rent. A board at each docking bay would let rentors choose which ship they wanted and with a little modification lock it in place. I could set it to listen only to the current tenant of the rental box for the locking/ removing command and only they could lock or change it while they are there. Hmmmm, may take a little tweaking but I can see that as being way cool. Select your ship, pay the rent, lock it in place and move on in. I like it.
