Do a people search for linden and check to see if there is one that shows "Currently Online" at the top right side of their profile.

I just started with the A's and found one that is a developer and another I'm can't quite make out the role of, neither of which I would bug with a problem unless it was something bad for Linden Lab, i.e, not for a problem of mine.

What do you need help with?

Hey, I had to go from the begining to almost the end to find those two.

I'm not sure that this is really a reliable method, I think they can hide their online status.

While I'm not sure what kind of griefing/harassment you are suffering from or where, but in almost any case I've found almost every tool at our disposal to atleast be somewhat effective whether it be muting someone sending you nasty IM's or banning them from your parcel. There is always the more drastic also of orbing people... which I don't condone, but sometimes bad situations require drastic measures. If you take the fun out of the greifers arsenal, they tend to go away.

If own land, go there and ban him from your parcel. If you don't own land, you can hang out at one of the welcome areas... there are usually mentors who don't allow any blatant griefing to happen there. Also, you could log off the game and do something IRL for a while. This crazy man can't follow you offline, right? Sometimes its helpful to take a step back.

And don't forget to keep ARing the person. Have everyone who received it AR him too!

Ok Minky, if someone is putting up RL pictures of you, while you do still need to mute the person etc, you do need to file AR's and be sure to be clear about the fact that the person is putting up RL pictures of you within the service without your permission. The other thing you can indeed do, is start looking through the list of lindens until you find a Liaison that is online (don't IM a Developer as they aren't really the right Linden to get help from) by using search->people and looking at their profiles to find out their specific duties and to see if they are online.

Well he has violated the Terms Of Service. One is not allowed to share RL details (or photos i imagine) about another avatar without her consent. Be sure to mention that in your abuse report. Also, sending naked rl pictures unsolicited is a form of harrassment, so IM every person he sent it to and ask them the AR the guy. That huge poster is a separate incident and warrants another AR. By the time you're done you might have enough AR's to get LL's attention.... maybe.

Unfortunately, you are unlikely to get personalized attention from a Linden for this, especially since this is the weekend. Note that I'm not saying its impossible.

I wish I could tell you that these AR's will actually do something. But it is the strongest tool at your disposal at this point.l.. inside Second Life anyway.

The guy has your RL photo... does that mean you have his personal details too, then? Contact your local police.

the rl pic
06-10-2007 09:13
the rl pic was on my profile . face shot only mostly for work purposes.

I did check for online lindens - response is this I dont take direct Ims . File AR and wait.
I filed countless ARs . but this is going way too far. Is it too much trouble to have them come look? I would log ff and escape but the naggin thing of knowin that picture is up there....

Unfortunately there are about twenty thousand residents for every one Linden Lab employee. And someone in another thread said he had calculated that someone joins SL once every 3 seconds. So, literally, it is too much trouble for them to come and look. I'm sorry you are being treated unfairly. I know this isn't what you want to hear.

You do have a clear case for harassment. So if you finally do get a Linden's attention, I expect they will move swiftly to remove the material and suspend the guy. Keep trying.

Is there any way you can block the poster? If its on build-enabled land, you can put a prim in front of it, blocking it.
Is it on Mainland or on and Island estate? if its on an estate, contact the estate owner.

They can. I IM'd a Linden standing directly in front of me and got a message that she was offline.

This has happened to me a few times. I even searched for a Linden, her name did not come up, went to her office, and found her there. They can do a lot of things we cannot when it comes to their names being in the search.

You won't like to know that soon, the very guy who is harrassing you is the only person who's going to see your abuse report, as the sim owner, they'll be diverted to him. I can't imagine why you would have anything to do with that kind of creep. Maybe finding a friendlier corner of the world would be the best thing.

Oh, and name and shame on a third party forum (not here) might help to exert some "community standards" on the guy.
