Hi folks,
Not sure exactly where this fits forum wise so hopefully someone here can help.
Been going through Torley's tutorial (http://torley.com/how-to-convert-youtube-videos-for-playing-in-second-life) on how to convert a youtube vid and then get it up and running on your land. Everything seemed to be going ok, I converted a youtube vid, could play it on my PC, put it on blip.tv and it runs fine from there. However when I create a prim put a texture on it that I select in the About Land->Media tab and then put in the url.... nothing. Or rather the prim face goes black and that's it. Nothing more.
I've just downloaded the latest quicktime incase that was an issue. I continue to get the same issue. Just a black texture as soon as I press the play control.
Any idea what is going wrong here? Any help will be really greatly appreciated. I work on an education island on the Teen Grid and a video screen is going to be very important to one the areas we're working on.
