i dont understand... i send the SL support team a question about my limits at selling L$ in lindex... i am old in SL but updated my credit card only 2 weeks ago. and i am still counts a "new resident" (0 to 1 days) that can sell 0L$... here is the answer... i didnt get it... what is the meaning of - when you billed??? thanks... ========================================= Thanks for contacting the Second Life Billing Support Team. As we explaint at: https://secondlife.com/currency/describe-limits.php billing limits reflect the billing DATE and not the AGE of the account anymore. If you are logged into your account and view the page above, your current limit will be hightlighted in the appropriate table. Your limit in tranding will increase as from the first date you got billed, In your case, you have not been billed yet as your billing age is shown 0, so once you have been billed successfully, your billing age will start increasing and your limits will follow the amounts listed in the table on the limits page. If it will increase until it hits the 30 days limit on the chart. Then you will have to request a review to increaset the limit at: https://secondlife.com/currency/request-review.phpSorry for the delay in answering. Regards Migyeong Linden ====================================

From what I understand, you have to be billed for Premium membership, tier, or make a Linden purchase in order to establish billing age.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

We sure are seeing this topic a lot these days! From the Trading Limits page: From: someone "Days" in the New Resident limits description refers to days since first billing transaction with Linden Lab. I think I'm starting to understand this. It sounds like now you MUST be "Payment Info Used" in order to sell lindens on the Lindex. My guess is that this helps reduce fraud... but darn it, LL should have announced a major policy change like this on the blog! From: Ann Launay From what I understand, you have to be billed for Premium membership, tier, or make a Linden purchase in order to establish billing age. I really think Ann is right. I think making a small Linden purchase is probably the cheapest way to go, but my opinion is that Premium membership is worth it if only for the higher support level. If you don't want to (or can't) make a payment to LL for any reason, it looks like you will have to go to one of the alternate exchanges to sell your lindens.

*just drops her jaw* Okay, someone suffering from this open an JIRA and get this addressed, ASAP. Or ask Robin Linden during her office hours and see what she has to say?
This sounds like a major 'oops' on their part, since a lot of people don't WANT a premium account and don't need to buy L. Yes, some people can actually be that successful without spending their RL money. They simply sell the excess L they have and go on with life.. and hey, when they build up enough USD on the credit side, they may go ahead and actually upgrade to Premium. Either way, LL gets it's money, if nothing more, than from the fees of processing and sells of L...
And now LL is making that impossible? *falls over laughing tiredly* LL must be the first company in existence that is going out of it's way to not get paid!

I can see both good and bad things about this new policy, and I'll leave that for others to debate. My real problem with all this is that they implemented it without telling anyone. It's ridiculous how many "OMG my trading limit is zero!" threads we've seen in the past month. LL says their support team is overburdened, and yet they take all sorts of actions (like alt cancelling) that spawn tons of support requests solely because they didn't tell us what they were doing. But it gets worse... based on the threads in the past month, it seems like this new trading limit policy wasn't properly communicated even to their own support team! A few people got the correct answer from support (that it's based on your first bill date, not av birth date), while others were told to simply wait a month (after which nothing happened because they still didn't have a first bill date). And a few people reported that support "corrected" their trading limits as if this were some unintentional bug. Okay, end rant. I really love SL, and I love LL for providing it. But seriously, it drives me crazy how many problems are caused solely by them being nincompoops.

Lol, Support doesn't even know the LL Policies.
What happened to communication?
