Well, hello there. I just decided to upgrade to the yearlong premium plan, but when it comes to games I can tend to get distracted. Once 2011 rolls around, will there be any sort of notice that I'm about to be billed again, or should I set up something myself? Just in case of course.

I did get an email in advance of the billing, and if you are inclined to look at your account page (which you will be if you want to keep track of your inworld-money [Linden Dollars] and monthly tier payments, if any), you'll see the upcoming annual fee date there each time.

I'm on the quarterly plan and I get a notice a week in advance of LL's billing my PayPal account. I'm sure the yearly has something similar.

When my first yearly premium account renewal rolled around i was'nt sent an e mail saying it was due,i happened to see something in red on my account premium account,i think it was the $72 US if i remember right,i really was'nt planning to renew it so i just let it go. Then i decided to inquire about it on the forums and what the red meant. I was told LL had probably tried to get the $72 from my paypal and there were no funds there. I was also told if i don't do anything, like down grade or put sufficient funds in paypal LL would cancel my SL account for being in arrears. On this last renewal i did'nt receive an e mail either but i did make sure i had sufficient funds in my paypal account.
So when not planning to renew your premium make sure you downgrade to basic,if planning to renew don't rely on an e mail reminder, just make sure you have sufficient funds when the time rolls around.

For anyone exposed to risk if they don't receive email from LL, it would be wise to check things like: 1) The email address on record with LL is still active and looked at 2) They have whitelisted secondlife.com as a sender, so that spam filters don't eat it.
I would remember my Annual renewal date even without a reminder email. Rez date is something that most people are concious of. Annual is a lot easier to remember than would be Quarterly.

My e mail with LL is active and i have received e mails from support when i have submitted tickets. All my inworld messages go there as well as my security orb e mails But as i said ,never a reminder about renewals for premium
