In spite of the blog posts stating all is well, the lindex is still rather messed up. I've somehow magically dropped to zero/zero sell limits which are going to make it difficult to sell off the lindens I need,to get the credit on my account to renew my annual subscription, which if that needs translated, means I've had a premium account for a year, come July 2nd.

Eiji, the most likely problem is that your credit card company has refused the charge. A lot of CC companies are doing that to any LL charges now because of the high rate of fraud and because LL doesn't use the 3-digit security code.

What you need to do is contact your CC company and ask them if they (1) saw the charge request from LL and (2) refused or accepted it. If they refused it, they might let you approve it over the phone, but they might just say NO we won't work with LL anymore. And in that case you have no choice but to try another payment method.

For some reason a lot of people having this same problem are reluctant to call their CC company about it, but I assure you it is the fastest easiest way to get this issue resolved. You could go around with LL for days or weeks just to have them tell you it's the CC's problem, but you can find out the same thing with a 5-minute call to the CC company. :)

Hi Salma, your problem is not caused by a Lindex error, but by a new policy that was not well publicized. I checked your profile inworld and see that you are not yet "Payment Info Used". That wasn't required in the past, but it is now -- you are sitting at 0 days because the count now starts on the day you make your first payment to LL. (Although not announced anywhere, you can see this requirement on the "About Trading Limits" page.)

This has been a major shocker to people like you who managed to pay their membership and tier from inworld earnings. It seems silly to send all of you back to a zero sell limit, but they did it on purpose.

Anyway, if you wish to sell lindens on the Lindex, you will need to pay for something using the payment info you have on file (or submit a new one if that one is out of date). The cheapest way to do this is to buy just $1 worth of lindens on the Lindex. Once your status has changed to "Payment Info Used", you will have to wait another 14 days, and THEN your sell limits will start going up again.

You could also try to contact billing and have them fix your limits manually, but from what I've heard, that is way more effort than its worth.

Hope this info helps. And curses on LL for being so secretive about it!

this has happened to me in the past too, eiji.

what has worked for me is to re-input my credit card information and then buy lindens.

i don't know why it's worked for me but it has. you might try it.

i had a similiar problem. I was listed as Payment Info On File, but got the error message. I did the change billing information, and found out that LL had changed the name on my CC account to the one I used to create the LL acount, and the two were slightly different.

I used a shortened version of my first name for the LL account, and my CC uses the formal version.

After changing it back everything was OK after I bought a few L$.

I had previously used the card with no problems, so this must be a recent development.
