A group stays active until it has less than 2 members. Then, LL will automatically clsoe the group 3 days after that.

So a group needs to be reduced to 1 person or less for 3 days to be closed.

If the owner of teh group leaves it, I believe the officers of the group are moved into the owner role, but I am not sure of that.

Dude, you are a true and good friend, and I love you like the brother that my mom claims she never had, but you are in fact acting like a flaming douche on white toast with a side order of dickknob salsa..maybe you should reconsider this course of action and we go find something else to do.

Exactly so.

The highest ranked officer in the group will be moved into the owners role. In the cause of 2 officers of similar rank the one who has been there the longest will be elevated.

I have used this feature when transfering ownership of group deeded land that was sold as an operating rental business. Making the new owner the highest ranking officer then quitting the group myself to make them the new owner of the group. We still had to manually have them donate tier to the group, then I manually removed my donated tier but I don't know if there is land involved in your group or not so that may not matter.

No if the owner leaves, the group doesn't necessarily disband. If a group has more than 1 member (and let's face it, you can't be a group of one!), the group will stay active.

HOWEVER

I'm not sure what happens if the owner leaves without transferring ownership to someone else...whether the owner position is lost forever or whether any officers get promoted to owner.

I suspect the owner position is lost and therefore to be on the safe side I would advise that if the owner has not already left the group, that he/she makes someone else in the group the owner before leaving (can set a trusted person to owner role in group information) - and yes a group can have more than one owner at a time. After leaving the current owner will not be able to make any changes so as you said it is important to get this sorted out.

If all else fails, the only thing to do is for someone in the group to make a new group and invite all the members from the old group.

Edit: I note the post above which was made while I was making this post originally. If it has been done successfully that way then go with that, but perhaps best to try my way first if the owner is still in the group.

So ! I have an answer! ;-)

I don't know where do U find it but if you remember tell me Jessy !

About your supposition "the officers are moved or not to the owner rĂ´le ?"

It's really crucial for the group !

So I would like to find some informations more about that !

If anybody knows ? thanks a lot ....

As we said in France : merci beaucoup !
