Anyone else having issues with this? When I try to edit my billing information it says it "can't process the card number at the moment. Try again later"

Anyone know anything.. PLS help, I'm broke:)

When they go to verify your card, they do a small out-and-in transaction. They take out a minute amount of money, then put it back in, to make sure the card is valid and working. Put some money in it, you should be fine.

Are you sure?

If so there's something very wrong there - all of the messages clearly state that your card won't be charged.

It's not really an 'out and in' kind of transaction. What they used to do was send a transaction in and cancel it when they got a response that it was an active card. You'd never see the activity on your statement, so technically you were never billed.

I think this changed and now, you have to actually do a transaction of some sort before it will verify. Buy some L ;)

They've been having a lot of issues recently with their network, from what the blog says. I'd wait until after they've 'resolved' it again and see if that fixes it? *shrug* I haven't tried editing my info today.

Well, thats pretty much what I meant...it never shows up but it still gets processed and canceled, so you don't get billed at all, but still need some money in your account.

As for the change, if you register your credit card and verify it you can get free Linden, but that's about it. You aren't required to, I don't believe.

Are you using some method of cloaking the original card number by any chance?

Citibank for instance lets you generate a unique card number for every different site to cut down on exposure to fraud or data theft. It used to work fine with LL until about December and then it would stop accepting, after numerous emails the one reply I got back was a copy/paste response blaming my bank.

It took putting a whole other new card on file for me, so I'd suggest contacting support, but don't expect too much from it unfortunately :(.

That's only true if you verify right at the time you sign up, if you do it after, you don't get the L$250.

Money in your account? That makes sense if you're using a debit card, but not a credit card.
