How to know how many people are online/First Look

Hey, I was wondering if there is a place to see how many people are on the grid at one time other than the login screen. I use the First Look viewer and it doesn't show it. Is it by any chance somewhere on the homepage?

Thanks.

Go to www.secondlife.com. See where it says "Online Now:" followed by a number? That's the number of people who are online now. :)

Ah, i see, lol. I wish they would have that information on the login screen of the First Look viewer. They probably will when they make the next version the official release/version right? I missed it because I never actually go to the main page; I have bookmarks to the blog and the forums (you know the important stuff). Thank you Chosen. :D

I think the login screen on the first look viewer is broken. I haven't played with the latest release of it yet, but it definitely broke a few updates ago. I'd imagine that will correct itself next week when the first look tech gets absorbed into the main viewer. (knock on wood)

You can change the First Look viewer's login screen by editing the file C:\Program Files\SecondLifeFirstLook\skins\xui\en-us\panel_login.xml . ( default path for a Windows install)

Change
CODE
<text hidden="true" name="real_url">
http://secondlife.com/app/login/firstlook/
</text>

CODE
<text hidden="true" name="real_url">
http://secondlife.com/app/login
</text>

This will make it use the normal viewer's login page.

Use at own risk.
