Ok for most oldies we know Ruthed means you look like the newbie character Ruth that you can pick for your start off character (She and the other characters are also located in the library.) We also know that Ruth likes to appear when your clothes are downloading, the evil bitch she is. Worse then a period I swear ((lmao No I aint a chick either)). Anyways, my question to the SL World is, how the hell can I get my clothes to download faster?

Some sims seem to be consistently worse about this, I know of one that simply never loads my av or clothes, but as soon as I move to a different sim they load right up. So my suggestion would be to try several different sims and see if that helps with the load time.

Have you tried rebaking your character? Client > Character > Rebake Textures?
Also, many times when I'm all stretched out of shape I can fix that with a "deruthing rocket". Seems that above a certain altitude, the server is forced to "see" you.

haha, sry not lauphing at your predicament, but I was 'Ruthed' for the first time myself last night. =D Was the funniest way I've seen myself. Goatee with man boobs and red hair. ROFL I logged off and went to be, this morning all was as usual.

Naughty Island male skin rezzed .. clothes rezzed ... Ruth hair and boobs!!! .... yep, had to snap that too  |

<sigh> I should just copy and paste answers to some of the repeating questions... log in game, remove all the accessories you are wearing, except basic clothing (Ruth panties are mandatory btw), clear your cache.. open up the bandwidth settings in preferences/network tab.. defrag your hard disc and cold boot your PC, then log back in to a quite spot.... open your inventory and type in A into the search, this will awaken the asseset server to begin refreshing your cache/inventory... then put Ruth away, and get into your daytime gear. Oh and copy paste this post into a NC and place it on your desktop next the the SL icon.

I've also been transformed in a small elfin(sp?) looking avatar...about 3 feet tall, with an odd-shaped head and little boys body.
Everyone got a good laugh out of that...until I went into edit appearance mode and fixed myself.
