Is everyone else getting attacked by massive numbers of "Sonic's Ring"?

NM, clearly it is a grid attack, and the objects are set to the W-HAT group. Nice touch.

hmm that's a bit of a coincidence Ms Zeno. Tell me, do you revisit the scene of the crime?

Well, I've seen uglier. It's kinda like a yellow snow storm here.

Actually, ew...

A very little mind, incapable of actual creative thought, apparently. I wonder when these f*king juvenile jacktards will get bored and go back to their dollies.

Whoever did this needs to grow up!

Something that made me smile - I came in here to see if it was a grid attack and not just our sim when I couldn't move or type any more - of course there's a thread about it right off the bat :D And any Linden response?

The top thread in 'announcements and news' is titled "SL Being Better".

Hee :)

I love how the 'collect' sound effect is triggered when you touch one. :D Bah, I hate how they crash sims. :(

It's like a Sonic the Hedgehog bonus level. The worst, most difficult Sonic the Hedgehog bonus level eva. And we're getting neither points nor $Ls for collecting the rings. Boo. W-ISE up W-HAT. And P-AY up. :p

Lol, yeah. I first asked Live Help whether it was a grid attack, and since that is such a hot-button issue that they would likely have responded right away if it were not real, I pretty much new right away when they did not respond.

Yes, I did the same - I waited to see if there would be a notice in world, but there wasn't and I couldn't leave the sim to check. I didn't want to bother 'em (because I imagine everyone was trying to fix it, which would delay a world notice too) but gave in and checked because it happened right in the middle of trying to swap land with a friend :(

Do they?! Damn - I only tried to edit them to find the owner. Told the b/f about it and he said it was such a shame they didn't make the noise... I'll let him know ;D

I'd guess from the huge forum sheltering at these times that I can't be the only one to find some sort of very wrong, mild pleasure in grid attacks - let me be careful to phrase this right. It is bad, in every way - I was in the middle of something very complicated and I'm annoyed to all hell it can't be completed - but at the same time it's nice to see everyone rushing together to gossip about it :D I suppose just as in RL, global trials in SL bring people together. It's nice to have a common subject to whinge about instead of the usual old topics that are rolled out day after day. And at the end of it we'll all come back in with (hopefully!) no real loss aside from time and patience, and have something we can agree on to bitch about.

PS: If anyone now launches a grid attack and cites 'making Erin happy' as a reason I will stomp them into the ground and eat their babies.

Since I can't be too careful in avoiding misinterpretations and flaming, I just want to clarify the above by saying I see it as like when you have a powercut and all the family has to gather in one room with torches and candles and actually talk to each other :)

I'd still be just as pissed off that I didn't save my game 30 seconds earlier or can't finish the chapter in my book, but hey - gotta look on the bright side..!

I have no babies left to eat, "Simple CopyBot Defeater" beat you to it :(

I suppose you are right in a way, but I think that I strongly prefer the much more immersive community spirit that I see every day in-world :)
