I have noticed within the last few days that two 256 plots adjacent to my home and in the same sim have changed ownership to Governor Linden. I am assuming this is because either the previous owner abandoned their land, cancelled their account or didn’t pay tier. Not sure.
Anyway what I want to know is what will happen to this land now.
How long is it likely to remain Governor Linden land?
Will the Lindens sell the land or auction it?
Obviously I am prim hungry and would gladly take this land off their hands.
Do I just have to wait for them to get around to putting it up for sale?

It will probably go up for sale soon... although recently a 512 plot next to me had this happen... I bordered it on 3 sides and I was offered it at a very attractive price (although in this case I had actually highlighted it as an abandoned plot that was attracting prim litter). Might be worth making enquirees via support if you think you have a good case.

Wow! Quick replies, thanks guys.
Tend to log in to SL most days so will keep checking. Maybe I will get lucky and happen to be there when its actually put up for sale, otherwise I fully expect it to be taken by one of the land speculators and their bots.

Well there are a couple of builds on the plots which I suppose technically means that the owners of those builds are squatting, seeing as the land is Linden owned. I will email support and see what happens. Out of curiosity what did the Lindens value the 512 plot at?

I don't know if this would help but you could try to contact Guy Linden directly. Since the plots are smaller than 512 and since they are adjacent to your land, if you can get ahold of him directly and let him know you're interested in purchasing it, he might be able to help you out, so you don't have to go through an auction process or worry about speculators beating you to it.

On the other hand, I lived next to a Linden plot for nearly 6 months and it never changed hands. Still there, as a matter of fact. I wonder if it's a matter of them getting around to it or not? The plot next door to me says in its description that it's used for "sim maintenance."

-Atashi Thanks Atashi! I will try to contact him and see what he says.
