Hi,
I had a friend join SL this weekend and we had a great time making her over. We went to Free Dove and she got some great newbie stuff. Gurl6, Tammy McCoy, and Schentzia (sp) fashions who all give a free item to the noobs. Any other great places that you could suggest I send her to get her noob off?

Calla has good free hair for young avatars as well, or you could try Wilted Rose for a slightly more edgy look. I also took my alt to the Gnubie Store the other day and got some good outfits upstairs.

In addition to many of the above, I've had good luck with...

Tete a Pied's newbie skin pack

Sarah Nerd's freebie store and L$50 store

enkythings

the Shelter - both locations have freebie tables, as well as great people to talk to

NCI Plazas - great for both freebies and information. Good classes, too.

Yadni's Junkyard

And I believe Diversity Hair has a newbie freebie offer, as well as some discounted styles. I have to second the Sin Skins newbie skins. I have bought others, but still wear them from time to time. I haven't been skin shopping for me in a while, but there are some at Sin I have my eye on when the time comes.
