I want to know if there is any place that sells shapes that make your avatar taller then the meter lets you, say 10ft?

I believe you can increase your height a bit by increasing your leg length, but I'm not sure about that. Other than things like that, there's no way to use a *shape* to make you taller -- you can't get much taller than the typical oversized moron that way.

To get significantly taller, you need a prim-built avatar, in which case you can be almost any size, but there are tradeoffs. Never done it, so don't know much about it, but that's how avs like dragons, transformers, and tinies work.

To be taller than the default avatar allows you could perhaps use an animation which stretches the skeleton beyond its legal limits, then load that into an animation override to keep it active at all times. The animation forum might have some advice on how to go about this.

Besides the height slider and leg length, you can also increase torso length, neck length, and head size.

Whats the max I can make a set of shoes? I seem to be stuck at system size of 7 inches. I suspect this too is a AO overide item too huh? I'd like to make some nice nice F ME plats of about mmmm 12inch range.

(To the OP: Really big or really little avatars must be made out of prims. This is often done for animal avatars...like dragons...or for Furries. I haven't seen it done with a human-type av though, possibly because facial expression would be difficult. As another poster said, see Grendel's Children for some Rrreally Big Avs.)

Dragons stretch themselves out. So it is possible but all your animations will start messing up and looking weird.

The best way to have really tall avatars would be for residents to have tools to scale their avatars and objects -- like the tool Emerald provides. If most people opted for normal to slightly tall heights, ten-foot blue people would really stand out.

I guess the next best thing would be to create a Pandora sim for those who want to play Navis and humans.

Technically the best way to make an avatar taller than the average height is to use poser to make animations that will stretch out the avatar. The problem is that these animations are technically deformer animations and you will have to use "stop all animations" when you change your av.
