Alright, I know I've been asking a lot of questions, but this one is important.

1. How do you open your own business or a store?

2. How do you buy only 512 sq/m of land?

1.) You buy land, possibly build a storefront (but you can also sell items on the lawn) and place items for sale. Either copies of your products that are set to "sell copy" in the prim properties (Edit window), or vendors, i.e. prims with your product inside that are set to "sell contents". Make sure the permissions of your sales items are ok (either copy or trade/resell, not both) and run advertisements if you can afford it, either classified ads or ads in the "Places" section, which can be enabled in your land settings for a minor weekly fee.

2.) You'll likely want to get first land, which doesn't cost any tier (monthly maintenance fees). But I have no idea where, when and if first land might be available. Of course you can buy any 512 sqm plot, but your tier will be raised to $5 monthly. You also need a premium account to own land.

I think yes you need to be a premium member to own land; but your first 512 sqm is tier free. It is only after you go over that 512 that you would start paying tier. The "First Land" scheme stopped earlier this year (i.e. you could buy 512 sqm for L$512.... I never did get to find any lol) so now you would need to look on the ingame map and have "land for sale" option ticked in the top right corner - this will show you available plots & prices. Expect to pay anything from L$10 and up per sqm, depending on traffic/location etc.

Alternatively, you can rent a shop space that someone else has available... many malls will have some spare shop capacity. You don't need to be a premium member to do that; although many smaller shops are limited to 50 prims (or less), so making use of a vendor makes sense.

And as Aleister says, ADVERTISE!!! You don't necessarily need to spend '000s to get to the top listing... but try and avoid "natural" figures like L$100... L$111 would put your ad above anything of a lower cost

Good response on your #1, but with regards to your suggestion to get first land, first land was done away with months ago, so someone new likely has no idea what it even is (was.)

Answer to 1): Get a bunch of freebies and sell them, or get the cheapest resellable "Business in a Box" and resell them. Or start a brothel. Or make yet another mall and rent space. You *could* attempt something original to sell, but if you learned enough about SL you probably would not need to ask questions like these...

2) Search mainland land sales.
