Am I miscalculating, or are people actually paying about the same or more per sq.m. at auction for full sims the past couple of days than the going rate on the land sales page for the average 512 lot? There is a whole page right now in the search listing of 512 sized lots at 12.5/sq.m. or less, and by my calculations, the sims at auction are going for the equivalent of 12.3 - 12.4/sq.m. converted from USD.
If so, why? It doesn't make sense to me to pay that much for a full sim at auction when you can't turn a profit on the resale market in-game. Unless y'all are feeling generous.

Don't look the gift horse in the mouth, Annabelle. Seriously, I think people may be getting in the game just to try to push others out. That is the only reason why I think they would incur a higher avg. daily balance.

Yes, I should keep quiet and just reap the profits from the loss of others.

No one is losing money yet. There are a few who are taking a very slim profit by reselling the sims they got for the lowest prices on the list. I have no idea what the folks who are buying sims over 3k or 3.5k are doing. Listing high and praying for a miracle? Getting into the mainland rental business? Planning for the long-term? Donating tier to LL?
