Hi. I put one of those sound rocks on my (rented) property, and was moving it, when it suddenly disappeared. I logged, it didn't appear but is still sounding. It may be inside the land ... but I don't know how to look there and don't want to leave it out to harass neighbors endlessly! Is there some way I can either: quickly find everything of mine nearby regardless of where it is, or quickly find all nearby sound producers no matter where they are?

Go to View at the top of the screen...then Beacons....then Sound Sources.

This is, actually, your first, best solution--particularly if you don't have a lot of other sound sources on the sim. However, if there are a lot (and on my sim, there are hundreds), this can make it difficult.

You might try using the tool menu to set your drag-editing to SELECT MY OBJECTS ONLY and dragging your mouse cursor around and seeing if you can find it. Optionally, use the CLIENT menu and disable rendering of things like Ground Patch--especially if you think it might be buried underground. You should also look at 0,0,0 on your sim, and scan the skys over your property.

But do start with the sound beacon. Like I said, it's the first thing you need to try, and you just might get lucky and find it that way.

Kam.
